I also watched him demystify the artistic process for kids. He broke down exactly how he made his artwork step by step and asked the kids to draw along with him. They were absolutely enthralled and all followed eagerly along. I also experienced this on a personal level when he visited the elementary school that my own children attend a few years ago. They came home all excited about the presentation and drew "Bren" inspired art for a couple of weeks.
Personally I also thought it was interesting from a creative point of view because I think that I try to do a little bit of the same thing. Like my Wayne Gretzsky analogy last week, in no way, shape or form am I trying to put myself in his class artistically. But I do try to share my work and if my only payment ends up being a smile, then I would be very happy indeeed (much to my husband's everlasting chagrin).
Here's his link, check it out if you get a chance but only if you promise to pay a smile to a stranger forward.
