So the next man up on the blog is Colin. It is so fitting that Colin would be next man up, in sports, being the next man means, "that every player should be ready and willing to get the collective job done." Just perfect for Colin because not only are sports are a big part of his life, but he has always been the epitome of a team player. And okay, I am going to say it, pretty handsome as well!!
Seriously, seniors like Brianna are why I love my job so much. What an absolute sweetheart she was. I had never met her before the night of our shoot but I knew I was going to hit it off when I arrived 15 minutes early and discovered that Brianna and her mom were already there. It was great because we were able to get started right away. And Brianna was such a natural that I do mean right away. Right out of the gate, she was very relaxed and natural with me which made my job a piece of cake!!
What an absolute sweetheart, and such a natural beauty, Amanda is. I was lucky enough to work with her sister, Ashley a few years ago so I was so thrilled when Amanda's mom contacted me about working with her. I had high hopes for this shoot because I remember my daughter, Kate telling me repeatedly that Ashley was one of the nicest people that she knew. And guess what? My hopes came true, Amanda was just as nice and sweet and pretty!!
Oh my, what a doll Sophia is! It was so much fun working with her, she was just wonderful, so sweet and genuine and natural. And so very pretty!! We went down to Hull and visited my trifecta of perfect places, the fort, the beach and the pier. I think that initially her mom was a bit skeptical about heading down there but I, or really, more the locations, convinced her that we weren't totally out of our minds (which is true of Sophia but maybe not so much of me, ha!!)
Ellie is just amazing, so polite and respectful, and so very pretty!! Every single time that I run into her, she always give me a great big smile and a heartfelt hello. Ellie went to the same elementary school as my son so she is another one of those kids that has pretty much grown up right before my eyes!! Ellie, and her classmates, also represent a milestone for one of my teacher friends, Nicole, better known to the kids as Mrs. K. Mrs. K teaches kindergarten and this class was her very first class. I imagine it must feel pretty cool to see your first class, and subsequent ones as well, graduate. Although isn't it crazy how all of these kids keep getting older but we parents and teachers never age??
I have been lucky enough to watch Haley grow up right before my eyes. Her parents have been some of our best friends for more than a decade and her older sister has been inseparable with our oldest since they were in kindergarten. She has also always been great friends with my daughter, Kristen but unfortunately because she missed the school cutoff by a few weeks, Haley ended up in the same school year as Jack and Cullen instead, poor girl!! Just kidding!! Although in the end, it worked out for the best, Haley has made a ton of great friends in her graduating class, some of whom you will hopefully get a chance to meet as the season goes on (hint, hint, ha, ha!)
Oh what fun I had with Sarina a few weeks ago. She is one of my seniors that I have been lucky enough to know for years, she is one of my church kids, anyone that has read me before knows what a soft spot I have for my church kids. By the way, I am aware that I have gotten more possessive as the years have gone by. It is kind of understandable, come September, I will be down to 50% child occupancy in my house therefore I am holding on tight to whatever I can these days, ha!! But back to Sarina, who wouldn't love to call her one of their own??
