I met with Harry last weekend at one of my favorite parks. We are so lucky around here, there are a lot of beautiful, natural parks within close proximity. We got a gorgeous day too, sunny, not too hot or cold, just a perfect fall day. And Harry was the perfect subject, so polite and respectful and oh, by the way, so handsome as well!
Okay you all know that I think that all of my seniors are beautiful. Well in the case of Izabella, I had a corroborating opinion. During a run the day after Izabella's pictures, one of my friends made a point of telling me how stunning she thought my latest senior was. By the way, she also told that although she still looks at all of my stuff, she is no longer going to comment or even like because she feels a bit like a stalker since she doesn't actually know most of the kids. This feeling is a little magnified for her this year because she knew a ton of my kids last year (she is a teacher and last year's graduates were her very first class, she moved from 4th to 2nd so she missed this class). Sorry a bit off topic there, we were talking about Izabella and how very pretty she is!!
I am having a hard time finding words to describe how much fun I had with Caroline. She was great, a perfect subject, such a sweetheart, and by the way, really pretty too! What a great day we got, and what a great senior for it too. I absolutely love the park that we chose but some of my favorite parts are a bit off the beaten path (those that know me are now nodding and saying, of course they are) and Caroline was more than willing to take the path less traveled with me.
So I got to take Caroline's pictures in the perfect places. As everyone that has visited this blog this senior picture season knows, I love what I call the trifecta of perfect places. Well Caroline certainly did them justice, she was so fun and enthusiastic and not to mention, just simply gorgeous., oh look, her own trifecta of awesomeness. Taking her pictures was just a fantastic way to end a fantastic weekend.
Becca's shoot capped a truly memorable shooting weekend for me. With 5 fantastic seniors over the course of 3 days with 3 straight gorgeous sunset shoots and a sunrise shoot also thrown in there, last weekend was pretty much my photography dream come to life. And it was fitting that Becca's shoot was last because she scheduled hers at the same time as her best friend, Caroline which meant double the fun for me!! All that, and Becca was super photogenic too, bonuses all over the place!
Nick is one of my nephew, Matthew’s best friends. Combine that with the fact that we had decided on a sunrise shoot and Nick’s shoot easily made the transition from shoot to field trip. By the way, shooting at sunrise was Nick’s idea, how awesome is he?? Anyway I started out by driving from Stoughton to Braintree at 5:00 a.m. (this will become relevant) to pick up Matthew, his mother, Barbara and then to get Nick. Picking them up from dark houses where everyone else was sleeping definitely added to the whole sense of adventure (although some may say insanity). Nick was great, he popped right out when we got there, well after we pulled into the driveway so that he could see us because it was so dark outside. The early hour didn’t seem to faze Nick, he was in a great mood, and he looked very handsome. I have a feeling that no matter what the time is, Nick always looks great!
Kelan was a part of what may have been my best shooting weekend ever! It started at a sunset shoot on Friday at the trifecta of perfect places with Lily, continued with another of my favorite places and another beautiful sunset on Saturday with Kelan, back there on Sunday for a sunrise shoot with Nick and then concluded back at the trifecta for another sunset and 2 more great seniors, Caroline and Becca. Just perfect from start to finish, as was Kelan, just perfect!
Oh my, I had an absolute blast with Lily, and her cousin, Joelle, last Friday. They were just so nice and sweet and enthusiastic about everything, it was awesome to be around that kind of positive energy. We got a perfect night for our shoot, although it was a little hot out. Not that you would know it by Lily, not only does she look fantastic, she didn’t complain about the heat once, such a great sport, and subject.
What a sweetheart Alexis is!! We got a beautiful morning for her pictures, I was so glad for her because if anyone deserves a nice day, it’s Alexis, she is so sweet and nice, not to mention, just adorable. The place that we chose is such a great park, with lots of variety and plenty of spots to choose from. This came in really handy for us because it was pretty windy near the water that day. Alexis was a great sport about it but it was blowing her hair all around. No worries, though, we just headed into the middle of the park and that cut down on the wind dramatically, and provided some great spots to help show Alexis at her best.
It is so appropriate that I am writing Harry's post on the first full day of the NFL season. As far as I am concerned this day should be an official holiday! And what better way to celebrate a holiday than to write about a great senior who also happens to be a pretty good football pllayer himself! Harry is probably in a pretty good mood today, not only does today mark the return of the Patriots, his Black Knights put together a pretty impressive victory of their own at their season opener on Friday. Harry, along with Brendan from a couple of weeks ago, are members of an all senior offensive line that looks to be a force to be reckoned with this year. The offensive racked up more over 500 yards on offense, 454 of them on the ground. One of their teammates was quoted after the game, “The holes, you could drive a truck through, it was unreal. It’s an all senior line and they stepped up big time.” Harry stepped up big time when it came time to have his pictures taken too, he was great about it. And so handsome!
Ho hum, another day, another handsome Michael. Actually these 2 Michaels were the same day, how’s that for a day??? By the way, I am just kidding around with the ho hum, I appreciate and enjoy getting to work with every single one of these kids. Especially a kid like Michael because I have known him for years and I was lucky enough to take his sister, Bianca’s pictures a couple of years ago. Yesterday at school, we welcomed our newest kindergarteners (Class of 2029, wonder if I will still be taking senior pictures then?) and it is just amazing to me that I have known Michael, now a very handsome and mature senior, since he was that kid going to the South School for the very first time.
What an absolute sweetheart Meghan is. Meghan is the double bonus of seniors for me, she's one of my church kids and she went to my elementary school. Okay, it is not really my elementary school but I sometimes feel like it is. All 4 of my kids went there and I started working there when my youngest was in 5th grade so I have been there in some form or another since 2002, yikes, that's a long time, no wonder I feel a bit possessive. But now that I think of it, Meghan's family has been there just as long, her oldest brother is in the same grade as my oldest, Kate, and her youngest brother is just starting 3rd grade (I think that it is safe to say that Meghan's mom and I both probably don't want to think about how long we've been there). Anyway, enough about me and my time angst, let's get back to Meghan. She is not only a double bonus senior but she is also super adorable too, she has the best smile. And that is even before you add in those incredible dimples!!
Disclaimer time, this handsome guy is another one of my nephews so there will be much raving going on! There probably would have been anyway because he’s such an awesome guy and he was a total blast for his shoot. Although I do have to say it started out a little slow when he claimed that his face must not be awake enough to do a real smile, ha!! No worries, it wasn't long before we woke up his face. I am so glad that we did because what a handsome face it is!!
Wow, it is challenging to write a blog post for your own senior, probably because you know that there is a good chance that you will write something that they (or more likely, their brother and father) will make fun of you for, ha! Kristen has become indispensable to me, especially over the last year. She got her license in December and I now call her my Uber driver because all I have to do is ask and off she goes!! She also works for me now and she cuts my workload down significantly. She sorts through the pictures when I get home and narrows them down to a manageable number for me to go through. She also picks out all of the pictures for these blog posts and sets up a template for each senior. She is so awesome that she even did this one!!
Caroline is one of those seniors that, for a variety of reasons, mean just a teeny bit more to me. She has been friends with my daughter, Kristen, since their freshman year so we have gotten to really know her. As a matter of fact, every time that that I log on to my Google account on my home computer, I notice that her name is on our list. In the last couple of years, our school system switched to Google mail and Google docs, and pretty much all things Google. As you can imagine with 6 of us in the family, me working for the school system and 3 high school students, our list is already pretty long, even without extra names. But hey at least, I can say that my name comes up before Caroline's. By the way, part of the reason the list is so long is because my son has 3 accounts on there (I don't know why, and now that I think of it, I am pretty sure that I probably don't want to know either).
