9/26/2017 0 Comments Class of 2018 - Meghan MOh my, what a doll, and a pleasure, Meghan was. Not only that but Meghan and her mom, Katie definitely earned my most flexible and cooperative award for this year. Or they would have, if I gave out such awards. The weather the day that we met was very unsettled but because of all of our schedules, rescheduling wasn't the most viable option. By the way, when it comes to rescheduling for weather, I will offer my opinion and advice but I leave the final decision up to the senior, they are the ones that have to live with the pictures, after all. Anyway, when I checked the weather around noon that day, I saw that the likelihood of rain was going to jump from 25% at 3:00 to 75% at 5:00. I quickly sent Meghan a text asking her if she could meet at 3:00 instead. She is awesome so of course, she said yes. I am so glad that she did too because I went out to dinner with one of my friends right down the road from our shoot and it started pouring out, at exactly, you guessed it, 5:00.

9/22/2017 4 Comments Class of 2018 - Amanda MWe got the perfect day for Amanda's pictures. I was so happy because if anyone deserves a perfect day, it is Amanda. She is such a wonderful young lady, so sweet and kind, and oh, so naturally pretty!! When Amanda and her mom picked me up that morning, I was in my glory. Weather wise, it was one of those mornings that everyone else hates but `photographers dream about. It was overcast but the sky had such depth and presence. Now, don't get me wrong, this is not the only kind of day that I get geeked up about. As a matter of fact, I hesitate to proclaim one type of day better than another because each type of day is special in its own way (oooh, can you tell that I work at an elementary school??)
9/18/2017 4 Comments Class of 2018 - Jack BOh my, I can't even. I just love this kid. I love all of my seniors, they all hold such a special place in my heart. After all, why wouldn't I? They chose me to help them document this special time in their lives. How can I possibly not be moved about that? But there are some that have even that much more of a connection with me. Like the kids my kids went to elementary school with and the kids from our church. When my kids were little, I considered the people from our church circle to be like family. That community, a community that Jack and his family were a major part of, was so important to us when our kids were growing up. Speaking of growing up, it has been such a pleasure to have the opportunity to watch Jack grow up into such a handsome and impressive young man.
9/15/2017 0 Comments Class of 2018 - Michael TOh Michael, Michael is another one of those kids that I have known since he was in elementary school. And, here I go again with the broken record thing, I can't believe he is a senior, along with all of the rest of them, it is just pure craziness!! What is also pure craziness is how grown up, and handsome, Michael has become. He was also an incredibly good sport, posing and flashing that irresistible smile whenever I asked!!
9/11/2017 0 Comments Class of 2018 - Meghan FThis blog post is so overdue!! Part of the problem is that I was super busy with awesome seniors this summer (I know, total first world problem) but the main problem is that my best helper left me for college so I am in a bit of a transitional time. I know, how dare she?? Just kidding, she is settling in nicely and I am very happy for her. I am not very happy that I have made Meghan wait, she totally shouldn't have had to wait, if anyone deserves a blog post, it's her!! She is such a nice kid, so sweet and pretty and we had such fun the morning that I met her. Well at least I did, I really hope that she did too!
