Okay I am admitting defeat. I have been trying all week to get all of Erica and Ben's pictures done so that they can be in one post but I can't. This project is bigger than me so I am going to have to split it into parts. I hope that Erica and Ben don't mind being the focus of attention for 2 days instead of one. I'm pretty sure that they won't mind because if ever there was a couple that was made to be the focus of attention, this is the couple. They are adorable!! Adorable separately, adorable together, the adorable parents of an oh so adorable little boy! They are one of those couples that are so cute and just totally adore each other, they each knew where the other was at all times during the wedding and were constantly gravitating towards each . And if they did happen to find themselves close to one another, watch out, the sparks were flying! We feel so grateful to have been there because let's face it, it's not every day that you get to be a part of something so very special. And just between us, Erica is really not one of those girls that has spent her whole life planning her wedding. Her marriage, yes, but her wedding, no, not really. She just wanted to get married and spend her life with Ben, whether it was here with family and friends or someplace else with just the two of them. But once the decision was made to have a wedding, then she made sure that it all went without a hitch. Well, except for the part where they got hitched, she wanted that hitch. Erica and Ben decided together that she would get ready at Ben's parents home instead of their house because his parent's yard is more picturesque and we all know that the bride cares more about picturesque than the groom. When we got there, the bride was finishing up getting ready so that gave us the opportunity to take some other shots. Like of her bouquet, with and without her dad, (is it just me or does he look a little like Robert DeNiro?) and her shoes, how gorgeous are they?
This was the first opportunity that I had to meet Erica and I doubt I would have felt differently if I had met her beforehand but I was seriously blown away by what a beautiful bride she was.
We didn't pull straws to see which one of us would go over to take the groom's pictures but if we did, I wouldn't have considered it pulling the short straw to get this assignment. These guys were great!! In reality, they were cousins but described themselves as "brothers from another mother". They certainly acted like it!
Look at how handsome Ben is, who wouldn't love having him waiting for them at the end of the aisle? The flag was flying at the front of their house and I couldn't resist getting at least one picture of Ben underneath it.
Meanwhile back at the ranch, we made sure that we got plenty of pictures of the bridesmaids, along with the junior bridesmaid (and groom's niece)
They decided not to get a limo to transport them to and from the wedding because they just happened to have a vintage Cadillac lying around that just might do the job (if I were a guy, then I would so know the make, model and year but I am not, so I don't but I can say that is was absolutely breathtaking, almost as much as Erica). It was so well kept and shiny that we couldn't resist a reflection picture or two.
How cute is that sign? After the ceremony, it read, "Just Married" By the way, if I were them, I might consider playing that number, 3417, just saying.
Well I feel like I could go on all day but I guess this is long enough for one post so stay tuned for rest. I am hoping to have part 2 done tomorrow.
