And our circle has expanded to include our extended family members as well. My mom regularly recruits these kids to help her serve at a Thanksgiving Dinner for senior citizens at her local Amvets Post. My sister is always warmly welcomed into the group and her son (and some of my other nieces and nephews) text most of the members of the group on a somewhat regular basis. We rung in the New Year at my friend Paula's house with her sisters, her parents and her aunts and we all had such a good time that her mother posted the following on Facebook, "Just want to thank Paula and Dave for hosting another great New Year's Eve party. We had a great time, and you have the best group of friends that I hope you will enjoy many more New Years Eve's to come. Such nice people, you're all lucky to have friends like that! Especially friends that don't mind the three old bag "Myself, Sue, & Judy" sisters. Had a wonderful time. You guys all enjoy each other so much, and we enjoyed it so much. Happy New Year to all!!!" At least 3 of us quickly responded that not only did we not my mind "the old bags" but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves as well!
