My son got a chance to pitch for four innings (he's pitched this season but it has always been an inning or two here or there) and like Mike last week, boy did he make the most of his opportunity. He pitched four scoreless innings and only allowed 3 hits.
The stage was set for another great moment when the other team ended up coming back to tie the game but a kid that I know and really like struck out so he was not too happy. When my son's team got up to bat, his teammate hit an absolute bomb to give them back the lead. That's another one of my favorite things, when all the kids excitedly come piling out of the dugout to congratulate the hitter. They're just as excited as the kid that hit the home run.
