9/4/2011 0 Comments Last days of summer, cont.Yesterday we went to our annual Labor Day cookout with my husband's family. This cookout has been around for a long, long time. It was around for a while before I started coming 2 decades ago. It has shifted locations from a pool to a lake but the spirit and fun (and clam chowder and lobsters) have remained constant. Funny side story: My husband yells at me whenever I try to take his picture. Earlier this summer, he even glared at me from the middle of the lake when I took this picture: Well I made myself a photo book of all my summer adventures and when he finally looked at it he was mad because he wasn't in it especially since the title of the book is happiness is... I told him that you can't have it both ways. He did pose for a picture yesterday after that discussion. He'll probably kill me but I am going to post it here because really for me, happiness is not complete without him. Although I am not in the book and no one noticed that, hmmm. And it's funny too, my son has that same exact fake smile.
