Then we came home for a bit and collected our various children from various places. I am still trying to pawn them off for the month of June, any takers? Free child labor, well never mind, they don't actually do any labor.
After I collected everyone, I headed up to graduation. I really wanted to go since Brendan, Sean and John were all graduating (I took all their senior pictures so I felt a teeny bit invested in the event). My friend and I devised a scheme to get me into graduation as a member of the local Patch and it worked out better than we could have imagined. When confronted with the ominous words, "Nobody gets in without their own ticket", I showed my camera and said that I was with the Patch and I was waved on through. But with the great "get into graduation" scheme comes great responsibility so now I had to deliver the goods. I shot pretty much constantly for 2+ hours. As a matter of fact, my forearms are sore this morning from all that holding up my camera. After the ceremony, I touched base with the editor and he was wondering if the easiest way for him to get the pictures would be for him to take my memory card and edit them himself. Now anyone that reads this on a regular basis probably knows that my answer was a nice version of "No freaking way." I may not do a ton of editing but what I do, I'm pretty particular about. Plus there were over 1000 images so that wouldn't be fair to him. He wanted at least a couple of dozen for this morning though so if I was going to say no, then I had to get to work. That meant that I couldn't go when Brendan's mom invited me to go with for dinner which was too bad since I was starving. But there was that great responsibility thing!
