I also think that it changed her feelings and attitude towards church. I think that she now feels the church is her thing instead of just something that I make her do. This morning, I woke her and asked her if she wanted to go to church with me. After taking a minute to wake up and clear the cobwebs, she said very thoughtfully, "Yeah, yeah I do". As another example, last week we had an epic battle over proper footwear for church whereas this week, she just sought out the same controversial shoes without even a discussion. It's funny too, I think now she will notice things that she may not have before. When we walked in to church this morning, I was a little surprised to see 2 recent high school graduates (guys) sitting together at the front of the church (one of them proudly wearing his Mission 2012 t-shirt) without a parent in sight. When I said to my daughter on the way home that things like that are what I love about our church family, she said that she noticed that too and also loved the fact that they sat at the very front of the church
So all in all, I would have to say that as far as "missions" go, then this one was certainly accomplished!
