I was talking to a kindergartener the other day about St. Patrick's Day parties and asked what types of green food you could bring to them. The answer? Green beer.
Speaking of green beer, there is actually a wikiHow on to make it. And it's 5 steps with pictures. Really? Exactly who needs step by step directions for this? Maybe it's for after you have had a couple of green beers but at that point you can't read the directions anyway. That must be where the pictures come in.
I mentioned that I read Stop Stealing Dreams and it's definitely has made me think. I mentioned to my husband that I think that we still do need rows and structure for the early grades. And he said, "But that will rob them of their creativity." He tends to be a wee bit cynical at times. But that's it really. I think that we have to find a way to do more channeling of creativity when kids are younger and more unleashing of creativity as they grow. Happy Friday, everyone!!
