I had plans to meet with the Shute boys and their mom on Wednesday in the early evening but we weren't sure if the weather would cooperate so we briefly contemplated rescheduling. But after looking more closely at the weather, we realized that the storm was supposed to hit there around 4. Since we were meeting at 5:30, we decided to take the chance that the storm would have already passed by that point. I am so glad that we did because the storm did pass and the light was just amazing!!! And I saw a rainbow on the way down there! The boys looked so very handsome, not to mention perfectly coordinated (with each other and with the beach). They were also super cooperative. We started over by the main beach and since it was so late in the day, they even got to pose on the lifeguard chairs
I also tried to make sure that I got a couple of each one of them alone.
After a bit, we moved over to the jetty area and took some pictures before we decided to walk on the jetty for a bit.
Andrew, the younger one, was much more interested in exploring the jetty than his older brother, Ryan was. This sparked a very interesting conversation between their mom and me about the whole birth order thing (a great birth order book for anyone that is interested is Kevin Leman's appropriately titled book, The Birth Order Book). Although more hesitant than Andrew, Ryan still did his share of exploring and was very gracious about turning around and smiling for the camera.
There was a cool piece of driftwood that of course I made the boys pose with. Ryan was a little leery of it (must be the oldest, cautious child in him) but he was such a good sport that he posed with it anyway
There had been so much rain (all of which we missed) that there even was a puddle for the boys to splash in, what boy doesn't love a huge puddle??
Thanks to the Shute boys and their mom for taking time out of their busy summer to meet me and get some pictures done. It was a blast, as usual, hanging out with you all!! Please click here if you would like to see the rest of the Shute boys pictures.
